Dulux Restaurant Design

Image3.jpg

For this project I was tasked with creating an eatery using the Dulux Colour of the year 2024 Sweet Embrace. My chosen concept was inspired by the surroundings of a Royal National deer park, Bushy Park. The park holds great historical influence due to being connected to Henry VIII, Hampton Court Palace. The mood I wished to create within this space was an old-English atmosphere with elements of the modern-day by using Sweet Embrace throughout my design. I designed my final design using Vector works. The space includes an indoor and terrace dining area where I have created a conservatory and courtyard to allow customers to relax while looking at views of the surrounding landscape of Bushy Park.

For the outside, I wished to create
an indoor–outdoor type of seating as the natural surroundings were a key feature that I wished to highlight within my design. I, therefore, designed
a greenhouse structure to cover my outside dining area to allow customers to look out into the surrounding landscape. The greenhouse structure allows my outside seating area to be appropriate for all weathers whilst still feeling as if you are sitting outside.

The park can trace its origins back to the Tudor period, when it was a favourite deer park of King Henry VIII who lived next door at Hampton Court Palace and hunted at Bushy Park.

The concept therefore embodies the rich history of the park as well as it once being the hunting grounds of Henry VIII and now a park embraced by thousands everyday as a Royal Park to admire nature.
